Retired Pakistan Air Force Air Marshal Masood Akhtar had accepted in May that India destroyed a PAF AWACS aircraft during Operation Sindoor. AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) is a flying radar station, mounted on a large aircraft platform, used to detect, track, and monitor aerial and surface threats over vast distances. Iran recently destroyed US' E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft.
