NDA announces seat sharing for TN polls; AIADMK gets 178 seats, BJP gets 27
The NDA has finalised seat sharing for the Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, giving AIADMK 178 seats, BJP 27, PMK 18 and 11 to TTV Dhinakaran’s AMMK. In 2021, BJP contested 20 seats and won 4, while AIADMK contested 179 and won 66. Polling for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on April 23.
