The Reserve Bank of India net sold US dollar worth $11.88 billion in the foreign exchange market in October amid rising rupee volatility. According to the monthly bulletin, the central bank purchased $17.69 billion and sold $29.56 billion during the month. The rupee crossed the 91-per-dollar mark earlier this month as uncertainty over India-US trade negotiations persisted.
