Jammu and Kashmir Police rescued over 100 people, including children, from an altitude of 12,000 and 14,000 feet amid heavy snowfall. Around 40 people travelling in a vehicle were stranded at Margan Pass and 70-80 were stuck at Sinthan Pass. Officials said the administration issued advisories against using the passes during bad weather but travellers continue to do so.
