They were Italy-Czechoslovakia in 1934, England-West Germany in 1966, Argentina-Netherlands in 1978, Brazil-Italy in 1994, Italy-France in 2006, Spain-Netherlands in 2010, Germany-Argentina in 2014 and Argentina-France in 2022. The 1994, 2006 and 2022 finals required penalty shootouts, while the other five were decided in extra-time periods.
