Congress leader claims TMC offered Nandigram bypoll seat but party refused, TMC denies offer

Former West Bengal Congress president Pradip Bhattacharya claimed that TMC contacted the party's central leadership with an offer to leave the Nandigram Assembly constituency for it in the October 6 bypoll but Congress refused the offer. The TMC has dismissed the claim, saying no such move was made. The TMC has fielded Sanchita Pradhan in Nandigram.
