EU urges US to reverse ICC sanctions

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas urged the US to reverse new sanctions against the International Criminal Court, reaffirming the bloc's commitment to the rules-based international order. The EU stressed the ICC must operate independently, free from pressure. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had threatened to "end the ICC" unless it halted its "threats."
