As many as 20 people, including an Army jawan, have been allegedly held captive by Kuki volunteers on the Ukhrul–Imphal road in Manipur's Ukhrul, which has significant Naga population, The Print reported. The jawan was on leave and passing by when incident happened. "Kuki volunteers were retaliating for 'unprovoked firing incident' in district," the Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) said.
