Delhi HC waives ₹50,000 costs on company, tells counsel to distribute tea & samosas instead

Delhi High Court waived ₹50,000 in costs imposed on Indus Birra Beverages in a cheque-bounce case. Justice Saurabh Banerjee instead directed its counsel to distribute tea and samosas to employees of Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) within a week. Court had imposed the costs on August 20 after finding that the company had not fully disclosed a trial-court order.
