Sitting by candlelight amid power cut, India's 8-year-old Tamizh beats Grandmaster Keymer

Eight-year-old Indian chess player Tamizh Amudhan from Sivakasi defeated German Grandmaster and world number seven Vincent Keymer in the first round of Freestyle Friday online blitz tournament on Friday. He played the entire game sitting by candlelight amid a power cut. The candlelight made sure arbiters could clearly see him on camera, which is a requirement in such online events.
