Tamil Nadu to drop cases against protesting farmers and teachers filed under DMK govt

Tamil Nadu CM Joseph Vijay announced that cases filed against protesting farmers and teachers during the previous DMK regime will be withdrawn. He stated that several cases were filed against protesting farmers and teachers between May 2021 and 2026. Vijay added that farmers were booked for protests against projects including SIPCOT industrial developments and the proposed Parandur airport.
