Advances in cooling technology have significantly reduced the water issue regarding AI data centres in India, CleanMax's MD Kuldeep Jain said. The real "bottleneck" is power availability, transmission planning and designated development zones, he added. Future data centres with GW-scale power "should be developed closer to renewable energy generation hubs rather than urban centres", he stated.
