Physical gaming media imports could become costlier in India after the Union Budget 2026-27 proposed withdrawing certain Basic Customs Duty (BCD) exemptions and concessional rates for imports of content recorded on physical media, Republic World reported. The move is likely to impact PlayStation and Xbox discs imported into the country once the exemption window closes, the report added.
