The Uttar Pradesh government cancelled the Assistant Professor examination conducted last year by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission after the STF uncovered serious irregularities, including paper leaks and cheating. Three accused, Mehboob Ali, Baijnath Pal and Vinay Pal, were arrested for exam manipulation and illegal extortion. The examination will now be conducted afresh.
