European Council President Antonio Costa condemned National Security Strategy put forward by Trump's administration, which criticised Europe for being over-regulated and at risk of "civilisational erasure" through immigration. He said, "What we can't accept is the threat to interfere in European politics. The United States cannot replace Europe in what its vision is of freedom of expression."
