World number one chess player Magnus Carlsen was fined $200 for violating dress code by wearing jeans at World Rapid and Blitz Championships. He offered to change for the final day, but when given an ultimatum to change before round nine of Rapid tournament, he refused and was disqualified. Carlsen later announced he wouldn't participate in Blitz section as well.
