Artist Raja Ravi Varma's "Yashoda and Krishna" oil painting sold for ₹167.2 crore at an auction in Mumbai on Wednesday. It was acquired by billionaire Cyrus Poonawalla, an industrialist and founder of Serum Institute of India. The price surpasses previous record held by MF Husain's 'Untitled (Gram Yatra)’, which sold for over ₹118 crore last year.
