The Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) trapped a forest department official using a parcel containing ₹40 lakh in dummy notes and ₹5 lakh in genuine currency after he allegedly demanded a ₹45 lakh bribe. The accused, Srinivas Lakhmawad, was caught allegedly accepting the parcel by the ACB's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar unit. The operation followed a written complaint against him on Wednesday.
