Pakistan on Tuesday sold its loss-making national carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for PKR 13,500 crore (around ₹4,300 crore) through an auction. A consortium led by local investment firm Arif Habib emerged as the successful bidder for the airline. The government is initially selling 75% stake, but the consortium would have 90 days to purchase the remaining 25% stake.
