Former West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, who has been grappling with crisis in her party, TMC, has received an offer from Sonia Gandhi. The Congress leader has reached out to Mamata, asking her to merge TMC with Congress, and the latter has sought time to respond, ABP reported. In 1997, Mamata had left Congress over ideological differences.
