IAS officer uses AI to reduce malnourished girls from 61 to 20 in Maha school

At a government school in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli, IAS officer Shubham Gupta introduced AI-enabled meal monitoring with Feeding India and Udyog Yantra. The system analysed students’ plates using 2,100 images and data points, identifying nutrition and food-quality issues. After eight months of monitoring and improvements, the number of malnourished girls fell from 61 to 20.
