CBI arrested Anurag Danayak, managing director of Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited, a central public sector enterprise, on July 15. He was caught red-handed in Noida while accepting a ₹5 lakh bribe as part payment of ₹15 lakh allegedly demanded from a Bhopal-based firm. Acting on information about the planned payment, CBI laid a trap in Noida and apprehended him.
