Consumer goods giant Unilever announced a temporary hiring freeze for at least three months amid global trade disruption caused by the ongoing Gulf war, Reuters reported, citing a memo. "Macro economic and geopolitical realities...bring some...challenges for the coming few months," Unilever's Fabian Garcia said. Unilever had announced a cost-cutting programme in 2024 to save around $917 million.
