Police busted a multi-crore illegal kidney transplant racket in Kanpur after a man's complaint over getting ₹50,000 less than the ₹10 lakh promised for donating his kidney. The gang allegedly targeted poor youths and paid them a fraction of the promised money, and sold the kidneys for up to ₹90 lakh. Several accused, including a doctor couple, have been arrested.
