Why don't we see more decent jobs if GDP growing strongly: Rajan

Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has clarified that he has neither questioned nor endorsed the latest government data that showed 7.8% GDP growth in Q1 FY27. "Why don't we see more private investment, more FDI, and more decent jobs if...[GDP]...growing so strongly?" Rajan noted. Earlier, former Finance Secretary SC Garg had claimed that India’s economy grew by only 2.6%.
