Amar Kumar, a Railways pointsman who was killed after getting stuck in buffers of an engine and a power car during a shunting operation in Bihar's Barauni, was hired on compassionate grounds after his father died. Investigation revealed that another pointsman, Mohd Suleman, gave the wrong signal to the loco pilot. However, Suleman blamed the loco pilot for the death.
