Giving details about the killing of drug lord El Mencho, Defense Minister Ricardo Trevilla said information about his whereabouts by a confidante of one of his romantic partners helped them plan the raid. During the raid, the druglord's team opened fire and the exchange of gunfire moved to a cabin complex in a wooded area. He died in a helicopter.
