US bank spends ₹2,400 crore/year on weight-loss drugs for staff, calls it 'good investment'
Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan said the lender spends over $250 million (around ₹2,400 crore) a year covering GLP-1 weight-loss drugs for its employees. The expense has risen from zero about five years ago and now accounts for 13% of the bank's $2 billion healthcare budget. Moynihan called it a "good investment", citing the drugs' potential long-term health benefits.
