Kuki-Naga conflict escalated in Manipur's Kamjong district near the Indo-Myanmar border after unidentified miscreants allegedly set ablaze at least 20 homes in the deserted village of Phaimol. Security forces thwarted a retaliatory attempt to torch the nearby Tangkhul Naga village of Shangkhalok, officials said. There have been no reports of casualties in the incident.
