China has officially cleared the NEO brain implant, the world's first surgical implant to pass clinical trials for commercial sale, before Elon Musk's Neuralink. The coin-sized device lets people with paralysis or spinal cord injuries control tech using their thoughts. The implant sits between the skull and the brain instead of going deep inside, lowering medical risks.
