Ex-Congress MP Sajjan Kumar, who died today, was serving 2 life sentences over anti-Sikh riots

Former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar was given a life sentence on December 17, 2018, by the Delhi High Court for the murder of five Sikhs and burning a Gurdwara during the anti-Sikh riots in 1984. A Delhi court gave him a second life sentence in February 2025 for killing two Sikh men. Kumar died on Thursday, aged 80.
