Kerala's Home Department has ordered a preliminary Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) inquiry into allegations that CEC Gyanesh Kumar sought a ₹2-crore bribe to clear road project bills in 2006. The complaint was filed by contractor Sajan, who claimed a Malaysian engineer had told him about the alleged demand. The engineer later died by suicide.
