Europe's fish farms under threat amid severe drought & record heat

Extreme drought and record summer heat are threatening marine life across Central and Eastern Europe. Fish farmers in Serbia, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic and Bosnia are especially affected as the fish industry suffers damage worth millions of euros. With shrinking ponds and temperatures in the remaining waters rising above 30°C, fish farmers are struggling to keep fish alive.
