Ex-CSK captain MS Dhoni has been retained by the franchise ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction for ₹4 crore. The 43-year-old has taken a pay cut of ₹8 crore as he earned ₹12 crore in IPL 2024 season. CSK have also retained Ruturaj Gaikwad (₹18 crore), Ravindra Jadeja (₹18 crore), Shivam Dube (₹12 crore) and Matheesha Pathirana (₹13 crore).
