Reacting to Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah putting up 39*-run partnership in India's first innings against Australia, Wasim Jaffer said Akash and Bumrah ensured KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja's knocks didn't go in vain. India avoided the follow-on with the help of the partnership in the third Test. Rahul and Jadeja scored 84(139) and 77(123) respectively.
