India and Australia are key strategic partners as both countries share maritime interests and have deepened their security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region amid a looming Chinese presence. Australia is also a key supplier of critical minerals, supporting India's industrial and energy goals. The two are also expanding trade and investment under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
