Punjab's 25-year-old sprinter Gurindervir Singh became India's fastest man by running 100 metres in 10.09 seconds in National Senior Athletics Federation Competition 2026 final in Ranchi on Saturday. The previous record (10.15 seconds) was set by Chhattisgarh's Animesh Kujur on Friday during semi-finals. Gurindervir is the first Indian to break 10.10-seconds barrier in men’s 100m sprint history.
