How US adopted Iran’s tactic to move crude oil out of the Gulf?

Amid disruptions in Strait of Hormuz, US adopted a tactic similar to Iran to move oil out of Gulf. Small tankers were used to transport crude oil and petroleum from Gulf terminals to ships outside vulnerable sections of the strait. They sailed in darkness with disabled transponders. A US Apache helicopter downed by Iran was reportedly involved in the mission.
