In tit-for-tat move, Canada announces 15-50% tariffs on US goods worth $20 bn

Canada has announced 15%, 25% and 50% retaliatory tariffs on over 700 categories of US goods worth nearly $20 billion, effective September 8. This comes after Trump administration imposed 50% tariffs on about $20 billion of Canadian goods following the collapse of trade talks. Canada also announced a $5.4-billion support package for workers and businesses affected by the trade war.
