European countries have lost €3 trillion (around $3.5 trillion) by refusing to buy Russian energy, Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev said. "Germany and other European countries...are actually pushing their economy to the brink of collapse," he added. The European Union has placed sanctions and import restrictions against Russian energy over its war with Ukraine.
