The government has appointed Rohit Jain as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). His term will start on May 3 for a period of three years. Jain is currently an Executive Director at the central bank. He will succeed former Deputy Governor T Rabi Sankar, who retired last month after a five-year tenure.
