UP to train 10,000 youths as 'Gau Mitras' to boost cow protection

The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday announced that it will train around 10,000 Gau Mitras across villages to raise awareness about the role of cattle in the rural economy. The initiative is primarily aimed at young people living in villages and interested in cow service. The programme will initially train master trainers who will visit villages and train other people.
