A private sleeper bus, travelling from Chennai to Madurai, caught fire on Saturday, with a video of the bus engulfed in flames surfacing online. The driver's alertness saved all 23 passengers after he saw smoke rising in the front and evacuated everyone before the fire broke out. The incident brought traffic to a halt, and the fire destroyed passengers' belongings.
