The National Medical Commission revoked the permission of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence in Jammu to run the MBBS course. An irked CM Omar Abdullah had earlier asked the Centre to shut the college to end the controversy over admission to 42 muslim students on 50 seats. "We wouldn't want them to study where there's so much politics," he said.
