Supreme Court has observed that when a post is specifically intended for candidates possessing lower educational qualifications, permitting people with higher qualifications to secure the job deprives genuinely eligible people of the opportunity. The court set aside an order that reinstated a bank attendant who got the job requiring qualifications up to 10th standard by hiding he was a graduate.
