Iran’s trade falls 35%, inflation hits 66% amid US sanctions
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran’s trade has fallen by about 35%, while the country faces 66% inflation as US sanctions enter their sixth month. Meanwhile, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei called for “gradually phasing out the US dollar from playing a pivotal role.” The US recently launched Operation Economic Outcast, aimed at isolating Iran from the global financial system.
