Novo Nordisk, the company behind Ozempic, has taken Dr Reddy's to court, stating that the latter's new diabetes drug Olymviq sounds similar to Ozempic. Novo Nordisk fears that people might mix the two brands, following Ozempic's patent expiration in India. The court has temporarily stopped the launch of Dr Reddy's Olymviq and has suggested that they pick a different name.
