The Amarnath Yatra has been suspended in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag and Ganderbal districts due to repair work and heavy rainfall. Officials said it is unlikely that the yatra will resume this year. Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Anshul Garg said the 'Chadi Mubarak' ceremony will proceed on the Pahalgam route and mark the culmination of the Yatra 2026 on August 28.
