Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh's mother Pratima Devi filed election nomination as Independent candidate from Bihar's Karakat, the same seat from which her son has filed nomination as Independent candidate. It's reported that Pratima may serve as backup if Pawan withdraws from race. Pawan, a BJP member, might face disciplinary action from the party for contesting against BJP-led NDA candidate.
