People across the world bid farewell to 2025 and welcomed the New Year. Several visuals shared by different media houses showed New Year's celebrations across the world, including in India, Japan, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, and China. Kiritimati Island in Kiribati was the first place in the world to welcome the New Year, followed by New Zealand’s Chatham Islands.
